This is scary. Will Pakistan's population reach in billions. Out of 31 million Pakistanis using social media online, only 1 percent may be engaged in constructive activity. The rest, half educated or uneducated people are wasting their time on useless and at times immoral activities.

@SAAF GO Exactly. The internet, esp so cheap and in every hand, is a massive resource if used properly. Sadly most just use it for porn or senseless messaging.

I see most Pakistanis selling their services for $5 in many online service shops. That is a good sign.

If e Commerce has to grow the online marketplace need to improve tremendously it is extremely painful to see how bad the levels of service are and the systems are extremely outdated. I had a very sad experience of ordering something paying for it being charged for it but then refused the product on the pretext that a marketplace is not aware of the products made available by the vendors. With such a strange attitude we can forget about usd 20 bn of online sales

Is Pakistan population already on the verge of breaking the Billion plus mark ? Looks like, the author knows something, which he is hiding from us, even from the people doing population census.

Hopefully it is planned on how to feed them and keep some of them engaged in jobs.

I believe internet usage will not only impact on economic growth but also provide room to create jobs through online business and marketing .Now a days people in Pakistan are happy to use different Apps to perform there tasks through internet rather conventional manner e.g online shopping ,online cab services and online booking service plays vital role towards economic development and jobs creation besides easy and up the mark services. In this global era ,traditional business has been shifted to online .IT companies are earning billions $ and contributing a lot, for healthy economic activity .In digital world every thing is available online and people usually reluctant to visit markets and prefer to purchase online .Every re-nown brand has shop-online websites and it is very essential for their business growth and advertisement as well. At last but not least all IT and Software development companies must be registered for proper revenue audit and to avoid Tax evasion .
