BBDO: An All-Star Player

BBDO Pakistan bags Agency of the Year for the fourth time - another major win in the pocket.

Be it AD Stars, Campaign Brief Asia, Cannes Lions, Effies or Spikes Asia, BBDO Pakistan have time and again proved to be star players in the local as well as international advertising industry.

With campaigns such as ‘Change the Clap’, ‘The Bridal Uniform’ and ‘Truck Art Childfinder’ (in collaboration with Samar Minallah Khan) to their name, it comes as no surprise that BBDO Pakistan have been named the 2020 Pakistan Creative Agency of the Year, for the fourth consecutive time, by the Campaign Brief Asia 2020 Creative Rankings. They have also made it into the top 10 list of the most creative agencies in Asia – the highest ranking of any BBDO agency in APAC.

In response to this success rate, Ali Rez, ECD, BBDO Pakistan, states: “The Work, The Work, The Work. Our philosophy continues to guide us to create ever better work for our clients and partners and this ranking is a testament to that. We are blessed with some of the finest talent on the continent, and our goal is to take Pakistan even higher on the charts of becoming a global creative superpower.”

Furthermore, the top eight creatives mentioned for 2020 are all current or former BBDO creatives, such as Huma Mobin (formerly BBDO), Creative Director and Co-founder, Contentory, who took the number one position, Hira Mohibullah, ECD, BBDO Pakistan, at number two and Assam Khalid (formerly BBDO), ECD/Head of Strategy, Ogilvy at number three.

According to Campaign Brief Asia, since the early 1990s, the Agency of the Year awards have for objective to “recognise inspiring leadership, management excellence, outstanding business performance, and overall achievements in advertising and brand communications. The awards are open to all media, advertising, creative, digital, PR, independent and specialist agencies from across the Asia Pacific region.”

The results of the 2020 Campaign Brief Asia Creative Rankings were tabulated “from creative award wins at 11 award shows over a rolling two year and a half year period starting from AdFest 2018 (March 2018) through to Campaign Brief’s The Work 2020 (June 2020). These shows are: Ad Stars, Spikes Asia, AWARD Awards, AdFest, Campaign Brief’s THE WORK, Clio Awards, London International Awards, New York Festivals, One Show, D&AD and Cannes Lions.”
