2021's top five green initiatives.

1) Dawlance

Seems like we can rely on Dawlance not only for appliances but for a cleaner, greener future. The company has teamed up with WWF Pakistan to promote environmental sustainability by planting 10,000 trees in Karachi University – part of the company’s efforts to restore ecological balance for the prevention of global warming and climate change.

2) VF Corporation

American clothing and footwear company, VF Corporation is leveraging renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable supply chain measures to reduce its carbon footprint across its operations. In 2020, VF sourced 29% of its electricity from renewable sources.

3) Campbell Soup Company

Campbell Soup Company has renewed its commitment to the global green drive with four key pillars: trusted food, vibrant communities, thriving people and a healthy environment. These key pillars address pressing environmental issues as well as social and governance concerns.

4) Gliffaes Hotel

Gliffaes Hotel is a 33-acre wildlife haven on the River Usk in the Black Mountains. The owner of the hotel has coined the idea of ‘Room for Trees’. The hotel donates £1 for every night booked, in order to plant over one million trees across the Welsh uplands. So far, Gliffaes, along with the Angel Hotel in Abergavenny, has raised over £10,000 for this cause.

5) Avocado Green Mattress

The makers of award-winning organic mattresses and bedding are moving towards a greener future with the launch of two new brands. Hass and Reed and Gwen are two new ventures by Avocado Green Brands, which is dubbed as one of the most sustainable brands on the planet. For their products, the company uses natural, organic and innovative materials, as well as non-toxic dyes.
