Waadi Animations, a joint venture between ARY Films and Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy (SOC) Films have announced that 3 Bahadur, Pakistan’s first animated feature film will be released in May 2015.

According to Asfand Yar, VP, ARY Digital, “Although about 40% of Pakistan’s population is below 15, no one has made a feature film specifically targeted at kids.” To promote the film, Waadi Animations are publishing weekly comic strips in popular children’s publications such as Young World and Us and plan to release a mobile game, book, and an app, prior to the film’s release. CBL, McDonald’s, P&G, Peek Freans, and Safeguard are sponsoring the film.
