India has 430 news channels... Which I feel highest in the world.. but we don't have any single international news channel...

Quite a few interesting stats re viewership trends in Pakistan. One wonders if this data includes online viewing via mobile devices or tablets which most Millennials tend to use.

hard to believe that PTV home has more viewership than ARY or HUM tv. can anybody name any 2 dramas aired last year on it?

@Saqib That is because of the terrestrial network being more prevalent cable/dth. But then again, I can't fathom how Geo News hare more viewership than PTV News.

Source of this survey is highly skewed man Mr Gillani and this gallup has nothing to do with real Gallup http://www.gallup.com/ He conducts these survey on paid assignments and resutls are on demand mostly :)

Gallup is pro government so as Geo thats why stats are odd.

Very good statistics on electronic media. It lacks explanation of glossary. The survey is based on 4,000 TV household which may not truly represent the all-Pakistan position. The survey does not cover important regions like Azad Kashmir, Bahawalpur and Sukkur.

Foreign entertainment is only 7% as compare to local entertainment 50% shows how much we love our own content . This might be the reason why recently Pakistani films have done a decent business in local Cinemas !

Hard to believe that geo news ratings have increased by 4% from 2014-2015 to 2015-2016 and Ary News ratings have decreased

@saqib It's their penetration in rural areas where people usually don't either have access to cable channels or do not like to watch modern style dramas
